- Longeron Bending
I spent an absolute age on this section.
Making templates to get the bends correct and then keep making
sure that both longerons bend straight and do not twist or kick

As a result I was pretty unsuccessful until I went
on the net and read about a popular method of bending them
together clamped in a vice.

This worked really well and wish I had researched
earlier as it would of saved loads of time.
The forward downward bends were also easy using the
same method. However I have left the twist that's required
until another time, I had had enough of bending for a while !
Next up was the process of
notching the aft ends of the longerons as per the plans and
fitting the sections that will form part of where the canopy will
shut down onto and therefore the shoulder edge of the cockpit.
The final picture shows the layout :-)
